MORE CASH FOR MUSIC GRANTS

At a Surrey Community Music Society concert at the HG Wells centre in Woking over Christmas, Elizabeth Reynaud donates one of her paintings as a raffle prize which helped towards raising over Â£300 for the Surrey Community Music Society - Get Music Going - set up by its founder Cliff van Tonder.  the charity's initiative encourages people -  who cannot afford to pay to learn to sing, or buy a musical instrument, or pay for music lessons - so they can get help towards music training. Elizabeth says "...The charity combines two of my biggest passions - children and music...".  Elizabeth is pictured here with the raffle winner.

The raffle winner was chosen by the Mayor of Elmbridge, Councillor Janet Turner at the Civic Centre in Esher. The money raised will go towards a grant funding scheme and the society chairman Nigel Scott said the money could help a recipient take music lessons for up to a year, with 5 grants a year up to £1000 currently being offered.
ART SALES HELP BRAZIL'S STREET CHILDREN

At the launch of an exhibition in aid of 'Happy Child International' a selection of works by Elizabeth Reynaud were on display, with money raised from sales of all the artists going towards aid for the charity set up to help Brazilian street children.  The organisation rehabilitates young vunerable children back into eductaion through projects in the cities of Belo Horizonte and Recife.   
 
The event was held at the Bookham-based gallery  - Lincoln Joyce Fine Art - and was attended by hundreds of visitors.
LIMITED EDITION PRINT RAFFLED FOR ELMBRIDGE MUSIC GRANT SCHEME

Elizabeth Reynaud auctions another of her limited edition Giclee Fine Art prints at Elmbridge Music's 'Sing It , Swing it'  Charity Musical Spectacular at the New Victoria Theatre, Woking, helping to raise over £300 for Elmbridge Music's grant Scheme and the Mayor's chosen charity - Sam Beare Hospice.

 

The lucky winner was Liz Moore of Oxshott.  Mayor of Elmbridge, Cllr John Sheldon, pictured here with Sue Scott from Elmbridge Music Executive Committee, drew the winning ticket.
